You know the how the song goes - it's the most wonderful time of the year!  With our extended holiday hours, there is plenty of time to visit our stores and pour candles for everyone on your list (it's the perfect gift).  And if you have a house full of guests to entertain this season or you are in charge of the office holiday party, look no further.  Pouring candles is the perfect activity for groups of all ages and sizes.

All of our stores are open 11AM - 8PM Monday-Saturday and 12 - 5PM on Sunday, unless noted below:

Experiment with Scent

With over 120 fragrances, we’re willing to bet everyone will find more than a handful they love.  That’s where our Scent Stylists come in - we’ll help you narrow down your list to just a few scents that blend perfectly together.  You’ll design your label and mix your oils at our Fragrance Bar to create your unique custom scent.  Click here to learn more about pouring your own candle!

Labor Day Weekend marks the unofficial end of summer for many of us. Your nose may be feeling in the fall spirit even if the temps outside aren't quite there yet, and we've got lots of fall fragrances to fit the bill. All of our stores will be closed on Monday, September 2 to enjoy the day with family and friends:

Fundraisers
Raising money is easy and fun with our Dollars & Scents program! Pick a day and store, and 20% of all retail sales go back to your favorite non-profit organization. No hustling required!

Whether you need a quick grab-and-go housewarming gift or holiday gifts for your entire office, we’ve got you covered. All of our 140+ fragrances can be ordered on our website and shipped to your doorstep with free shipping over $40, or stop in to grab something off the shelf.  Ordering mini custom candles for gifts is even easy and affordable - just waft on in to get started.

Those of you who have been supporters of us for a long time know that we very rarely discount our candles, so this is an event you won't want to miss!  We'll be selling our candles at very low prices that you won't see again for a long time.  Some of these candles are in great condition, having been just pulled off our shelves to make room for new fragrances, while others are "forgotten" candles - those that were custom-blended by customers a long time ago but never found their way home.  You'll find really unique and creative custom scent blends that are just dying to fulfill their life's purpose, all at a fraction of the cost!

We know we aren’t the only people who can’t believe it's almost August.  Where did the summer go?! And yes, while we know that technically summer hangs on for another couple of months, we can’t help but feel like the start of the school year and Labor Day Weekend mark the end of the dog days. But the good news is - it’s not over yet! Below are some of our favorite ways to make the most of what's left of summer:  

Participate in your community  
If you haven’t attended a community event yet this summer, now is the time! Our local communities put on amazing (free!) events all summer designed to help you explore your neighborhood.  We recommend pouring candles first, then enjoying a special event while the candles cool.  Our favorites include:

Try something new
Think about it:  when is the last time that you really tried something new?  The good news is, we've made it easy to tap into your adventurous side. We love partnering with local businesses to offer events and workshops in our stores that "smell" a bit outside of the box.  Start by pouring your own candle, then try something new!  Practice your "Om" with a yoga class, enjoy one of many beer and wine tastings, develop your green thumb with a succulent potting class, or even take your kids to a string art class.  Check our our event calendar for a complete list of in-store events and to purchase tickets.  

Take the kids on an epic fun day
Earlier this summer we put together a list of our favorite ways to combat summer boredom.  The last few days of summer can be some of the trickiest, with rising anxieties for the new year ahead.  Take their minds off the looming school year and plan a last summer hurrah! Start by Experimenting with Scent by pouring custom-scented candles (room sprays are fun, too!), then take the kids for a picnic at a nearby park, or to a baseball game, or to play mini golf, or just out for ice cream.  The day can be as long or as short as you desire!

Plan a ladies’ night out
Need we remind you that summer isn’t just for kids?  If you are finding that you haven’t spent enough time enjoying the company of others this summer, it’s not too late to plan a ladies’ night out, summer style!  Whether it’s a girl date with you best friend or a whole gathering of women, The Candle Lab is the perfect place to start your night. Pour a custom-scented candle together (you can even enjoy a glass of wine while doing so in our Grandview location), then continue the conversation over dinner or more wine - or even just a stroll through town.
