Firecrackers, grilled hotdogs, cold beer....what does Fourth of July smell like to you?  All of our stores will be closed Thursday, July 4 to celebrate our nation's birthday.  We will be closing early the day of Wednesday, July 3, at 4 PM to allow our team to enjoy fireworks and festivities with their friends and family.

Can’t spend Mother’s Day weekend with your Mother-like figure, or want to gift the experience of pouring your own candle to the mothers in your life? Simply choose an empty candle jar off our shelf, and we’ll package it up nicely so that Mom feels extra special.  No need to worry about selecting the “perfect” jar - she is welcome to trade it in different one of same or lesser value.

Why stop at just one when you can gift Mom a whole candle-pouring party that she can use for a night out with friends or a day with family?  Just like with the pour-your-own candle gift, you’ll select some empty candle jars and we’ll package them up nicely so a group can experience pouring candles together.  We recommend adding a gift card so everyone can enjoy a cocktail while pouring candles (applicable for our Grandview store only), or even purchasing a gift card to a local restaurant to enjoy while the candles cool for a complete day out.  Now that is a gift we’d love to get!

Giving someone a gift card* to The Candle Lab gives them the opportunity to Experiment with Scent in whichever way they choose.  They can pour a candle, mix their own custom-scented brown sugar body scrub, or even craft a fragrance oil or reed diffuser. If you’re unsure what amount to gift, we recommend viewing our website here for options and pricing.  In general, $20-25 is enough for one person to pour a candle in a jar of their choosing.

Craft her a body scrub or lotion

We’re willing to bet that if we surveyed 100 mothers and asked them “What would you like for Mother’s Day?”, 99 of them would say “More quality time with my children.” Just kidding! We know that at least half of them would say “a day spent blissfully alone”, but since that is unlikely, we’re here to offer the next best thing: quality time spent at The Candle Lab!  

Mother’s Day at The Candle Lab is simple, affordable, and sure to impress. All you have to do is bring your mom / wife / mother-like figure / favorite aunt into the store of your choice, and we’ll handle the rest! Our Scent Stylists will guide you through the process of pouring your own custom-scented candles, and you’ll enjoy a mimosa and special sweet treat while doing so. We’ll even take a commemorative Polaroid photo that Mom can hang on the refrigerator to remind her of how much fun she had. And here’s the finisher that will really impress Mom - we’ll deliver your finished candles tableside at the local restaurant of her choice!

Children are welcome - pouring candles is fun for kids ages 1 to 92!  Note that you do not have to purchase the package in order to visit the store Mother’s Day weekend, and are welcome to pour candles without purchasing it.

1. No reservations or advance ticket purchased required - simply waft on in! Reservations will be taken for groups of 5+ on a limited basis.
2. Candles poured by 6:30 PM on Saturday and 3:30 PM on Sunday can be delivered to the restaurant of your choosing (or available for pick up). Because the candles take 90 minutes to set, candles poured after 6:30 on Saturday and 3:30 on Sunday can be picked up in-store another day (no rush!).  
3. Plan on ~30-45 minutes from the time you walk in the door to the time you are leaving for your meal (could be more or less depending on how busy the store is).
